Pharrell Williams Tank Chair

I've been a long term fan of Pharrell Williams from the first time I herd Noreaga super thug, I became obsessed with his beats and have followed his carrier enjoying every turn he's taken.
I have to say I didn't see this coming but I'm so impressed! this chair smashes it.
The perfect balance of idea, execution, humor and practicality. A brilliant product!
It makes me happy, in the sense that it proves creativity is boundless, so long as you have the right skills to facilitate it. I don't doubt he had more than a little help, but i'm still very pleasantly surprised and a little more in ore.

in love with Aurel Schmidt

such beautiful work!!

Behind the scenes at the vice death becomes her shoot

pic's taken by NIALL KENNEDY, Ellis Scott's assistant

Barbara Hepworth

She is one of my favorite sculptors.
My grandfather is a wood craver and was influenced by her work, and i guess went on to influence me.
Although not all of her work is to my taste, this period of work from the 40's i adore the fresh fluid curves, the crisp white isolating the warm natural wood grain and those graphical lines of the string. They are still so contemporary and look like they could have been made yesterday.

Exit through the gift shop

i once was lucky enough to meet banksy briefly. it was at the huge don't attack Iraq protests in london in 2002. me and a friend had traveled down to london take part. It was such a epic day, i will never forget the visions of all the those people taking control of central london. Right at the end of the protest as we were coming in to hyde park and i spotted a small group of placards with what i instantly recognized as Banksy's work (helicopters with bows and grim reapers with acid smilie faces). At that time in my life i was 100% dedicated to graffiti and had been painting solidly for nearly 2 years. Banksy was a big hero of mine and not many people outside of graffiti had herd of him at this point as it was before he had released his book (which actually has a pic of this event init) so he was a bit more chilled about it. anyway i decided to go up and to chat to them as i new a couple mutual friends through graffiti and sure enough there he was! He was really nice and gave me one of the hand painted placards with the helicopter with the bow on it.
unfortunately i got into some money problems in 2005 and had to sell it, i got a grand for it which at the time i really needed but i wish more than anything i still had it!! :-(

abandoned biosphere pics by Noah Sheldon

Biosphere 2 was an ambitious project to create a self-sustaining gigantic sealed structure where people can live indefinitely. It ended up as a failure in many ways. Sixteen years after the last inhabitants left, photographer Noah Sheldon captured the current state with a series of eerie and captivating photos.
